It is rental-only, via Adobe’s new Substance 3D subscriptions. Substance 3D Sampler 3.1 runs on Windows 10, CentOS 7.0/Ubuntu 18.04+ Linux and macOS 10.14+. Other changes include the option to set the normal map format used by the software – that is, DirectX or OpenGL – in Preferences, and a number of updates to Compound Filters, listed in the online changelog. The Crop widget has been updated, getting a more standard workflow in which is used to validate the cropped region, and avoiding image stretching when cropping non-square images into square textures.
